COOPER'S STORY:

Taken in by us around 2012, Cooper was an off-the-track-thoroughbred (OTTB) that won over $300,000 for his former owners.  After we worked and re-habbed Cooper, it was time to adopt him out to his forever home.  Twice Cooper was adopted out and twice shortly after arriving to his new home, the new owners reported Cooper quickly becoming lame with no apparent reason that they, or their vets/farriers could find.  Both adopters brought Cooper back to the farm.  Both times Cooper miraculously was "cured" and never presented as lame to us before or since his two adoptions.  So, "Cooper's come back" is a phrase we have heard one too many times and we have now determined Cooper just wants to stay here. Cooper sadly crossed the rainbow bridge on 12/16/21. After over 9 years with us, he sustained an injury to his leg that was unfixable despite every effort. The pain became too much and he passed away. We pray he is at peace running rhe green fields pain free!
